Tense markers[edit]

The article states that Zimmer Bradley "writes". Besides the fact that Zimmer Bradley is not the narrator of the book (in this case, no one is), she is also dead. Thus, I'm thinking "she writes" should be "she wrote". I've never seen the present tense used for the action of an author's writing in the case of novels; if you disagree, feel free to revert the change but be sure to leave your reasoning here. Related works[edit]

You could also make the argument that the fall of atlantis (a collection of three books)and firebrand are related either thematically or maybe even directly to the avalon series. Reincarnation and past lives are a common theme in her books often with a priestess or priest with forbidden or troublesome love. There is also usually, a close relative(sister, mother, cousin)who makes life more difficult. Also, a feminist perspective.

Agree that The Forest House is related to The Fall of Atlantis -- one plot element in particular points to that. However, a couple corrections: "Fall" was previously published as two, not three, novels. And The Firebrand is not related at all, being a retelling of the Trojan War, and not having (as far as I can recall) any reference whatsoever to Arthurian legend. Finally, the direct sequel to this novel is Lady of Avalon Kltk78 (talk) 15:02, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Crediting Diana L. Paxson's contribution to The Forest House[edit]

In Sword and Sorceress XI MZB writes in her introduction for Diana L. Paxson's Spirit Singer

... If you haven't read Diana's other books, look them up in Books in Print: They're good.

So good in fact, that when I decided to write the story mentioned at the end of Mists of Avalon—about Roman Britain and the Druid priestess Eilan—it was Diana I chose to collaborate with me on it. Because of marketing decisions, Viking decided my name alone would sell better—I'm not sure why—but here among friends, so to speak, I'm happy to acknowledge Diana's help and input. It should be out in April 1994; look for The Forest House.

Is this secondary contributor credit noteworthy enough for mention in this article? I see that Paxson's article already lists her as "(uncredited)" for The Forest House. --Marc Kupper|talk 04:57, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Characters Development[edit]

Why in the article it is said that the characters are less developed than in Mist of Avalon? This is Personal Opinion and shouldn't be in here!187.14.134.54 (talk) 23:14, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
