Lets get another "in the 2008 Summer Olympics" article done.

Lead section

"was flag bearer for both the opening and closing ceremonies." Change to "was selected as flag bearer." Also link to List of flag bearers for the Gambia at the Olympics.

Background

"At its debut, the country sent ten athletes to the games, all of whom competed in athletics. The largest number of Gambian athletes participating in the summer games was in 1984. Can you change to "At its debut, the country sent ten athletes to the games, all of whom competed in athletics. 1984 remains the largest number of Gambian athletes participating in the summer games." or something similar?
"No Gambian has ever one a summer Olympics medal." Change one to won.

Athletics

"His time of 10.52 seconds place him 46th out of 80 competitors overall." Change place to placed.

Boxing

Add an image where Badou Jack competed.

Accuracy Are you sure you have a link to the correct boxing opponent? Wikipedia lists the guy linked to as a then-40 year old law professor. And there is no mention of this professor having boxed or represented anyone in the Olympics. Hughdbrown (talk) 21:34, 9 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
