There was a Made for T.V. film with the same title. The screenplay was written by Truman Capote, who was interviewed on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show. Capote described that the film is about a young man, sent to a large prison for drug dealing. He is raped by a tough guy who had given him a guitar to make the new kid his "wife." The kid did not understand that the guitar was more than just a gift. The kid cannot live with himself, and commits suicide by jumping several stories to the cell-block floor. Capote said that he was surprised that television did not remove the sexual content. I saw it, and had to agree that it was so powerful that I always pay my tickets. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. Budget[edit]
