WRONG BIRTHDAY[edit]

Daniel's (Skip's) birthday is actually October 31, 1995, NOT May 3. May 3 is Jai and Luke's birthday. I find it offensive that this issue has been looked over so many times and still not changed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Emillevdh (talkcontribs) 23:31, 20 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It's not difficult to point this out on the talk page in the first place, either. I have removed the birthdates as they are unsourced and this is a BLP. Your birthdate correction won't be added either - it's unsourced. -- MSTR (Chat Me!) 00:39, 21 November 2012 (UTC) He love all fans[reply]

NPOV[edit]

Just passing through this article and noticed some of the language is not neutral. Referring to stunts as "disgusting" or "crude" may be one person's opinion and another might think it not disgusting. Also they've been compared to the american tv stunt show "Jackass" which kind of popularized this sort of humor. This should be mentioned. --Turn685 (talk) 12:12, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request for protection[edit]

Enough with vandalism and irresponsible editing of this page. This page has unfortunately become a playground for fancruft, excessive non-encyclopedic language, unsubstantiated and at many times ludicrous added informations not supported by any reliable referencing, and in general a vandalism playground for lovers and of haters of this group. It is apparent almost all edits by anonymous editors is making management of this page difficult trying to rid it of daily dosage of ridiculous and sometimes very humorous nonsense and juvenile drivvel. Almost nothing positive is being added and most contributors are unregistered online bullies. This page needs permanent protection for a full year at least, with only registered users allowed to edit. The talk page can always be used to make requests for meaningful edits by non-registered users. werldwayd (talk) 08:18, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for adding a protection tag restricting editing to confirmed editors for a week. I have a feeling though that the period set is just too lenient and will expire very soon and we are back to this ludicrous pattern of editing rubbish. Fans have rendered the page frivolous and the page's management by editors almost a full time job. I do understand this is just to reinforce the public image of the band as a juvenile care free band of pranksters and to render our page the same. I think protection should be for a three month period the least. werldwayd (talk) 13:27, 14 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Lets just see what happens when the protection lapses. If there is further prank editing from IP editors there will be justification to argue for a longer period of protection. AlanS (talk) 11:46, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"This Fucking Song" is an official single[edit]

Based on the massive vandalism this page is seeing, established colleagues may tend to think "This Fucking Song" is a vandalism. But if you check the listings, this is an actual single release. See for example the Australian Charts sites, as they originate from Australia The Janoskians page on Australian charts and the "This Fucking Song" page and documentation (single cover etc) "This Fucking Song" song page werldwayd (talk) 18:36, 31 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Renewed request for further protection of page[edit]

Let's face it. This particular page will be a mecca for vandalism par excellence by band fans and by band haters. The moment the period of protection expires, we have unscrupulous editors coming back in great numbers with their unconstructive edits to litter the page. I suggest an outright ban for anonymous users for a full year and a conditional ban on editors with user name that have less than a hundred meaningful edits to their credits. We now realize vandalism on Janoskians page will go on as long as the band continues to survive. A new ban for a lengthened period is in order. werldwayd (talk) 00:42, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Just exactly how much more vandalism do you need on this page to establish a permanent ban on frivolous editing? All editing without a Wikipedia user name should be disallowed for a minimum of 1 year. Only editors with valid user names and with a minimum of say 300 edits to their credit in Wikipedia in various subjects should be allowed to make direct changes the page content. Those excluded can always use the talk page here to propose needed amendments and an experienced editor will look into such proposals and implement changes whenever needed. werldwayd (talk) 19:40, 13 March 2015 (UTC) werldwayd (talk) 01:06, 14 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Normally I'd agree with you but you lost me when you called them a band. AlanStalk 05:47, 14 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Don't turn this request down on a technicality Alan. LOL. We do need to protect this page. On matter of band or no band, sure a band, why not. They do act like one. You never know, we may see them performing like a proper musical band soon. By the way, I like The Janoskians so much you couldn't believe. And I'm using this opportunity to declare publicly my "guilty pleasure" in cherishing this (ehem)... brilliant fuckingly adorable "band"... made up of obviously very charming and quite talented individuals actually. I even pleaded with other Wikipedia colleagues when I personally added their "This Fucking Song" as a single in the discography section not to revert or delete it, as this was not vandalism, but an actual Janoskian single.... (see my earlier post lovingly titled " 'This Fucking Song' is an official single") LOL werldwayd (talk) 15:40, 14 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
My prayers have been answered or what? The Janoskians at least in their newest hit "MoodSwings" seem to function as a proper music band. So my wild guess of they becoming a band is being realized albeit in shy small steps, but for sure. If they want to have general chart success, this is the way to go anyway. In any case, as far as Wikipedia is concerned, if The Janoskians do pursue this "musical" path further in their new releases, I am even tempted to add "the band" Janoskians to the intro of the article. werldwayd (talk) 21:48, 2 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
