Notability[edit]

Look CobaltBlueTony™ don't be ridiculous! Dorothy Bryant is a famous writer, she has published over a dozen novels as well as several works of nonfiction (including an online rant on literary lynching) and had several plays produced. Yes, she is a feminist, and has been somewhat notorious for getting into trouble with certain people, perhaps. But her writing is influential. Stop deleting my posts! And I do not wish to sign my name. ~~anonymous fan!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ariella0 (talkcontribs) 01:48, March 10, 2008

I understand your frustration, but Wikipedia has standards that must be met. I've done some more research and found the author of this book to be notable according to WP:BIO and WP:BK, but individual books themselves must also meet notability criteria according to WP:BK. If this has won some awards, or been the subject of some nontrivial media coverage, that would be helpful if you could find this out. Thanks! - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 06:58, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have now added references to one text-book and two articles in peer-reviewed journals, as well as explaining more of the historical reasons why this book has received less 'official' recognition than might be expected of a work with such a cult following. Kindly remove your deletion tag.Ariella0 (talk) 16:21, 10 March 2008 (UTC)A.[reply]
