Members of Lewica[edit]

While not officially stated on their website, several members of the Lewica lists have been sourced from smaller parties and social movements. A proposal: we differentiate full members of Lewica (SLD, Razem, Wiosna) with affiliated members (PPS, Yes for Lodz, PCP, etc.) and supporting organisations (various non-party NGOs officially supported Lewica) in the manner that is done for Polish Coalition. Ideology[edit]

@Vif12vf: regarding your comment on ideology - the fact of the matter is that the coalition as a whole only has a broad leftist ideology, as described by the sources. Some of the member parties subscribe to social democracy as their leading philosophy, while others identify as entirely socialist. In either case, we can't list those ideologies as fitting the entire coalition as a whole, as that is simply not correct. Furthermore, although the vast majority of leftist parties support egalitarianism and secularism, not all of them do. There are religious and even theocratic political parties, which advocate a mixture of socialist economic policies and a religious worldview. See The Green Book (Muammar Gaddafi), Liberation Theology, Christian socialism and Islamic Socialism, to name a few. Furthermore, not all egalitarian and secular parties are socially democratic. There are plenty of coalitions, in which such policies are taken to represent the entire coalition, while the individual ideologies of the member-parties are listed under factions - see Congress for the Republic as an example. Furthermore, the ideologies I added were sourced, while as the ones you reverted to are entirely not so, and only inherited from the member parties listed ideologies. Several of those parties, Razem especially, has considerable non-democratic socialist wings. It's even arguable as to wether Razem is a socially democratic party entirely, as it's based off the mould of parties such as Podemos, which is further to the left. There seems to be a small edit war with regards to the ideologies in the infobox. Might I suggest that the two editors find sources for all the ideologies, develop an opening paragraph in the ideology section with these sources to minimise edits? Their surge in the election has brought a lot of attention to them so there should be a lot of third-party sources in Polish and English to use. I have added two sources confirming 2/3 of the member parties position on social democracy which i added some time ago as a common ideology shared by the parties. The inclusion of PPS[edit]

The has been a few attempts to remove presence of the Polish Socialist Party (PPS) in a former members table, on the grounds that they are no longer members of the coalition. The major difference the PPS has from the minor parties who supported the coalition is that the PPS actually had representatives elected. What this section on membership needs is prose to explain the formation, core parties and why the PSS split from the coalition. I also propose that the former member table remains for the parliamentary term, it illustrates to the reader that that party was present in the coalition for the previous election.
