The fact that drugs were not illegal might be of interest or not, but the fact that making a large income begging is not any more possible then then it would be now is more interesting[edit]

I was told that I didn't put in the information right, so I tried again. the stuff about drugs being legal, I didn't put in, but I think the point about the man making enough beging is a point that is relevant to the history of the story. I am trying to add a footnote, but its not working so good. Maybe someone can tell me how to do that. Its in Adventures of Arthur Conan Doyle by Russel Miller.
