How about some constructive creaticism/feedback? (my first major Wikipedia work)[edit]

OK, folks; I just finished creating a major update to Matrix (club), and I need some feedback as it's the first big thing I've done in Wikipedia. Please send me that constructive criticism that this kind of thing needs, so I can become a proper contributor. Thanks!

In re:"When The Matrix closed, a nearby bar, Pierce Street Annex, leased the space and moved in, remodeling once again, turning it into a nightclub with only a DJ."

I spent a lot of time in Pierce Street Annex (and its near neighbor, Camelot) in the summer of 1964. A few years ago something online--I forget what--indicated that the Matrix had been the Pierce Street Annex location. I liked the place but I remember it more for the free hot dogs on Sundays than for music, though one night a young lovely told me about a "party" which my roommate and I attened, in a stduio at which Bobby Freeman and Sly Stone were recording a sequel to "The Swim", free cold cuts and beer included.

Are you sure they orignially had separate addresses?

Taking Blame/Credit[edit]

User: ChickenOnAUnicycle: A potential "Conflict of Interest" tag has appeared following an edit made today. The edit is simply the provision of cross references to relevant data contained on th www.chickenonaunicycle.com site which contains extensive details of performances at the Matrix following many years of research on the subject. The www.chickenonaunicycle.com site is an entirely non commercial venture and provides information and detail on the subject that are not otherwise available. I can see no conflict of interest in relation to this matter. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ChickenOnAUnicycle (talkcontribs) 17:20, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

User: ChickenOnAUnicycle: I have now remembered to log in and can confirm that the following comment was written by myself yesterday (July 15, 2009).

In a similar fashion, all edits from July 15, 2009 have been made by the owner of www.chickenonaunicycle.com. The edits are minor in nature and all verifiable. All of the changes on Feb. 20, 2008 from IP address 71.139.163.92 were by me, being relatively new to Wikipedia and forgetting to login. Sorry 'bout that, folks!

Question: Is there any way for me to correct this error in these history page entries?

RE: Edits to My Major Update[edit]

I've reviewed all of the changes made by others to my recent contributions, and I've learned from them. My thanks go to those editors.

GNU tag[edit]

Is there any special reason why this page has a gnu tag at the bottom, isn't it unneeded due to the page footer?--Jac16888 (talk) 12:03, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Redundant GNU tag Removed[edit]

I put the GFDL tag in months ago, overlooking the GFDL text in the page footer. Jac16888 is correct. Thanks for the heads-up!

Specifically, How Can This Article Qualify for Higher Ratings?[edit]

Two Wiki Projects have classified The Matrix (club) article as "Start class" in quality. Unfortunately, I have no idea how much more is needed in references, etc. Most of my information came from Internet research (to expand on what I already knew), from almost 20 years working in the San Francisco music scene (1966-85), and from personal, professional experience at The Matrix over 35 years ago. I even had a key to the club at one time.
