[Untitled][edit]

The novel takes place no earlier than 1971 because when Ky Montana is driving through Milagro (pg 136 in my paperback), he notes the years of graduating junior high schoolers painted on the water tower, the last year being '71. The fictional Milagro must be in North Central New Mexico near Taos because Joe Mondragon grew up in Milagro and drove sheep with his father near the Rio Grande Gorge bridge - see his reminiscence of his childhood in part 2 (pp 161-170 in my copy). Encyclopedia.com reference[edit]

"A discussion of land and water rights issues underlying the novel may be found in an Encyclopedia.com entry."

I read this and thought it was strange that a Wikipedia article was explicitly saying "go to this external page if you want to learn more." I'd never seen that before. I've seen it implied, but I wondered if this line should be removed, and replaced with similar Wikipedia internal links. Alternatively, if Encyclopdia.com is a legitimate source (I doubt referencing another encyclopedia is): rewrite this section to explicitly describe what the information on Encyclopedia.com is, and cite it.
