Article name[edit]

Due to the complex history of these statues there is as such no official name for them. ~~When the article is ready to be moved to article space~~ I'm not entirely sure whether the article name should be The Naked Ladies or Statuary in York House gardens. There seems to be more relevant results in a search for, "Statuary in York House Gardens" rather than "The Naked Ladies". I would support renaming to the former choice. –blurpeace ^(talk) 03:34, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

One has to be careful with Google searches for this as there are lots of York Houses with statues, and the naked Ladies gets lots of false hits as well. this and this are better comparisons. Also I've since discovered that there is at least one other statue in York House gardens Twickenham, so probably best to stick with the Naked Ladies. The latter search still shows more relevant results, and from what I've reviewed all other references refer to them as the "Statuary in York House Gardens," or something to that effect. It's probably best to rename the article due to the point that we're basing this on one book citation, whereas doctorate sources, and the museum state otherwise. –blurpeace ^(talk) 19:26, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Gallery and alt text[edit]

Whilst there may be some photos which could do with shuffling them round to illustrate a point and there may be a case for a gallery of the individual figures, I'm not convinced by the current change especially as all the alt text has been added to the captions.
