world's first successful looping coaster![edit]

Who ever wrote this is definitely not a coaster enthusiast.

We all know that there were looping coasters before Revolution, but it was the first one to (a) not have the potential of hurting or killing someone and (b) it is the only one to remain open after a year of excellence

Then, only put facts in if they directly relate to the issue. Boomerang was the first corscrewer, whoop-de-do! It was opened afterward and is therefore not in the contest for first SUCCESSFUL loop. History section[edit]

I went on Revolution in November of '06, so it must have reopened before "early 2007". Can someone cite a source for that? TheContralto 21:42, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Designers[edit]

A recent edit claims that Paul Saunders, best known for his work on Haunted Mansion and other rides while employed by WED, designed Revolution. While it's possible that he contributed in some capacity, the only sources that give him credit are: DoomBuggies.com, Davelandblog, and a San Jose city guide website. Practically every other reliable source credits Werner Stengel and Anton Schwarzkopf with the design, most importantly these: RCDB.com, Intamin, The Coaster Guy, and the LATimes. In light of this, I've removed the claim from the article, but if there are more reliable sources out there that credit Saunders, list them here for consideration. --GoneIn60 (talk) 20:38, 8 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

About the ride.[edit]

The Roller coaster’s top speed is 55 miles per hour. The highest hill is 113 ft tall, and the biggest drop is 85 ft. Trains have 5 cars in them. There are $ seats in each car, that equals a total of 20 riders per train. You have to be 48 in tall to ride the ride. There is one inversion in the ride and that's when you go upside down on the only loop on the ride. There is a Terrain Track layout. Additional comment on the car size: At 20 riders with a 2 minute 12 second duration, the maximum riders per hour with two trains is only about 1000. So either the duration is off, or the number is too high. Essentially, 20 riders every 132 seconds. That means 27 cycles for each train each hour, so 20 (seats) * 27 (cycles) * 2 (trains) = 1080 riders per hour.
