I say we make this it's own article because The Outside was re-released as a single for Scaled And Icy --ConstructorRob18 (talk) 16:54, 19 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 6 August 2022[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: consensus to move the page to the requested title at this time, per the discussion below. I have added a hatnote aiming at the non-notable song's album. Dekimasuよ! 08:49, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The Outside (Twenty One Pilots song)The Outside (song)WP:SONGDAB. Similar to this discussion, this move is substantiated by WP:SONGDAB, yet was contested and cleared without action. I think this is enough to re-open this discussion here. Not because I feel strongly one way or another but because its annoying having my WP:Technical requests contested, and having to open a WP:Requested move because people disagree with the guideline. So to those of you who find parenthetical disambiguation overtly crucial, please, open a WP:Request for comment and use these discussions as your jumping off point to change the guideline that you disagree with. Otherwise, stop contesting. Tree Critter (talk) 21:02, 6 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per WP:SONGDAB. If anything this seems more clear cut than the other discussion. -Kj cheetham (talk) 21:11, 6 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom.--Ortizesp (talk) 01:20, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nomination, Kj cheetham and Ortizesp. English Wikipedia has no other entries for a song that bears this exact title, thus indeed obviating the need for disambiguation beyond the brief parenthetical qualifier "(song)". If / when an entry is created for another such-titled song, then the matter can be revisited. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 02:35, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support as long as the 2006 one isn't notable. Crouch, Swale (talk) 08:38, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Support: as Roman said, this can be easily undone if necessary. And given the song is from so long ago and surely WP:TAYLOR would've been on making an article as soon as they could, I wouldn't be surprised if it's not necessary, at least for a while longer.
