Wrong Square?[edit]

I think this article is confusing Sherman Square with Verdi Square. I just placed a similar note on the "Sherman Square" article. I've always been told Needle Park was Verdi Square. Anyone know? JamestownArarat 03:46, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The opening of the film specifically states it as Sherman Square.--Remurmur (talk) 06:09, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Incoherent section[edit]

"Many of these boards' decisions should overlap the film's qualities for some decades, as other works of important directors were put into this just at the same time: Hodges' Get Carter, Peckinpah's Straw Dogs, Kubrick's Clockwork Orange (all of '71) as well as John Boorman's Deliverance one year later. The beginning 1970s are therefore often cited to be the significant phase of the 'X' rated movies concerning works which were not necessarily appointed by genre affiliations."

This is barely comprehensible. The word 'overlap' makes little sense in this context, as does 'appointed' in the last sentence. This whole section needs to be reworded by someone who knows what the original author is getting at, or removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.40.77.237 (talk) 22:08, 3 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The first non-porn movie to be rated X in the U.S. was Henry and June in the 1990s. Stop being lily livered sodomites. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.213.142.170 (talk) 09:05, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
