Unclarity over history of edition[edit]

Was this specific collection of works originally published in German? The sentence "The Schocken Books edition is translated by Willa and Edwin Muir." implies that there was a previous untranslated edition (or an English edition with different translators). On the other hand, "First published in 1948" implies that there was no edition before the 1948 Shocken Books volume. EALacey (talk) 19:50, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
