Series infoboxes[edit]

The infoboxes of the series violate {{Infobox television}}, which clearly state: "The show's star or stars. Separate multiple entries using {{Plainlist}} or {{Unbulleted list}}. Cast are listed in original credit order followed by order in which new cast joined the show."; also, per the Manual of Style, small text should not be used in infoboxes, especially in the form of < small >. The infoboxes now violate the paramter of the template, which was set up as a guideline to follow. livelikemusic my talk page! 19:08, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Parodies section[edit]

I've remove the {{hidden}} template per MOS:COLLAPSE as such templates make the content inaccessible to many readers and so should not be used for article content. The list is rather long though, so it should be pruned and/or moved to a separate article (propbably List of parodies of The Real Housewives or List of The Real Housewives parodies). Apprentice / Dancing With The Stars[edit]

Seeing as users felt it was necessary to include a section on The Apprentice, do people think because of the number of Housewives that have also appeared on Dancing With The Stars, it should be included too? 7 Real Housewives from various franchises have appeared on the show. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.19.113.223 (talk) 22:12, 15 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

International Franchises[edit]

It might be time to get validity on the International shows and if they are actually licensed spin-offs associated with the Real Housewives, or if they are just similar formatted shows with no association. For example, Dublin (House)Wives - the Irish version is not in anyway associated with the franchise but is included in the international section, when even on the article's page there is a section about how between their seasons they had to take Housewives out of the title and change it to just Dublin Wives, because NBC thought it was too close to their franchise. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.7.246.216 (talk) 14:09, 24 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Agree – 'Mulheres Ricas', 'Forsidefruer', 'Dublin Wives' and 'Me’usharot' are not officially licensed versions of Real Housewives and should be removed. 143.159.127.27 (talk) 16:10, 20 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

RHOC or RHOOC? A: RHOOC[edit]

The Real Housewives franchises are all "Real Housewives of...", and prominently display "RHO" as the first part of their names. ie: RHONY, RHONJ, RHOM are all short for the New York, New Jersey, and Miami installments. Thus, Orange County should be "RHOOC" for "Real Housewives of Orange County". The aren't the "Real Housewives of County". That sounds like an entirely different type of a show. 208.44.170.115 (talk) 21:26, 20 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A head's up[edit]

Just to mention to topic editors that many of The Real Housewives navboxes have been deleted without discussion on deletion runs by Woodensuperman, you may want to get those back. Randy Kryn (talk) 14:47, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

All of these were in clear violation of WP:PERFNAV and have been slowly added over time by a blocked user. --woodensuperman 14:58, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Are these women acting as performers? I have only seen one or two of the shows, so don't know how much performance is occurring or would these be described as filming as "reality" occurs? Also, WP:PERFNAV is a guideline, so common sense exceptions may apply. Randy Kryn (talk) 15:18, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, as stars of a television show they are performers. Some are previously actresses, business executives, sportspersons, etc. It would not be common sense to make an exception the guideline, as placing these navboxes on the individuals' pages causes severe WP:UNDUE issues, as with any navbox containing television performers or crew, which is why the guideline WP:PERFNAV exists. --woodensuperman 15:27, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The article says the show "documents the lives" of these individuals. How much is performance and how much is real discussion and action? If they do a second take of a scene they would be performers, but, again, I'm not very familiar with these shows and maybe we should wait for comments from editors who work these pages. Randy Kryn (talk) 15:33, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It's irrelevant, WP:PERFNAV applies to more than just a "performance", it applies to any crew of a production. --woodensuperman 15:35, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
