Hotel and cast[edit]

I just came back from cancun they were definetly filming the real world at ME (the hotel we stood at) the housemates are working with studentcity.com and were walking around the hotel lobby (cameras following them)

Picture[edit]

I am not very familiar with the CC license and how it applies to wikipedia. I'd like to use a picture of the ME Cancun that is listed as CC - http://www.flickr.com/photos/andrewl04/1326202250/ but am not sure if it can be used. Neutralis (talk) 13:25, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hotel[edit]

So I've been watching the Real World since the beginning and an emphasis has always been placed on the Real World 'House'. I've recently tried to include a link to this season's 'house' which happens to be a hotel. Editors have removed the link citing that it is an 'advertisement'. I'll begin by saying that I'm certainly not advertising for the hotel. In all honesty, I think the whole Real World' page is pretty much an advertisement.

Just curious to get feedback from the rest of the community on whether including a link to the real world 'house' would benefit this listing. Cheers

The article is not an advertisement, at least not as a primary function. Its primary function is to present general knowledge about its subject to readers. Information about the residence is perfectly fine, but only as it pertains to the show. To this end, the links to realworldhouses.com and other news sources fulfil that function, giving info about the residence in terms of its use on the show. The link to the business' website does not.
