Table background color[edit]

Why are the individual cast names each highlighted with a different background color? There is no legend nor is there any obvious reason. I was WP:BOLD and removed them. Please comment if there is a need to revert. — MrDolomite • Talk 21:28, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't recall who was the first person to place them in the tables, but I didn't have any specific objection or know of any policy or guideline that precluded them, so I just kept them. Are you going to do the same with all of the articles, or just the Chicago one? Nightscream (talk) 21:40, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Accessibility#Color and Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Text_formatting#Color would seem to support that the coloring should have a meaning and most likely a legend. I'll go through the other articles and remove them and leave a note back to here in case other editors have information about the history of the colors. — MrDolomite • Talk 22:15, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
