Very nice article! Once a few key pieces are added, it should be a pretty straighforward pass; refs/prose/image/npov etc. are good to go already :) So, here's what we do need:

  • The lead needs a mention of the initial Euro-Swedish and American release dates, and also a clarification of what's on the album; by that, I mean slightly more descriptive than "a pop musical".
  • Let's flesh out some of the backstory and history of the project. Why did the Swedish national radio initiate this musical? Why was Sparks chosen as the significant artisan and producer? How long did production take? Where was the album recorded? Cost? Sales? Things like that, also reflected in the lead. Rcej (Robert) - talk 07:07, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
    • Thanks! I'll have to access some of the Swedish sources for that (see above); the English sources don't go into that as far as I recall. As for the recording, apparently the Swedish voice actors were recorded in Sweden, while the band recorded in the States, with files being sent to and fro. It sounds quite adventurous. I'm snowed under with RL work at the moment, unfortunately, so please bear with me; I probably won't be able to get much work done on it before next week. --JN466 15:48, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the delay; I now have time to do a little more work on this. I've added initial release dates to the lead. As for description of the album's content, we say, Based around an imaginary visit to Hollywood by Swedish film director Ingmar Bergman in the mid-1950s, its storyline focuses on the divides between European and American culture, between art and commerce.[11] [...] it features a cast of Swedish and American actors and a variety of musical styles ranging from opera to vaudeville and pop. I guess we could say something about the album not really having standalone songs. Was that the sort of thing you had in mind, or was it something else? --JN466 11:21, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's just 60-odd minutes of continuous music, with small silent gaps between individual scenes (to describe these scenes as "songs" would be overstating matters in most cases) and the occasional bit of spoken dialogue thrown in. --JN466 10:32, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
