Kinescope of Preley's appearance contradicts a certain author[edit]

Presley in fact was never shown on camera with a top hat on his head. He did however, walk on stage with it in his hand. Steve Pastor (talk) 22:19, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Westinghouse show[edit]

I lived in Baltimore County at the time this show aired. Westinghouse owned WJZ TV, and broadcast the show during the afternoon. It was not a late-night show. WilliamSommerwerck (talk) 23:16, 18 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It was in San Francisco. It was KPIX ? 2 was local, 4 was NBC, 5 was CBS and 7 was ABC. Either 4 or 5 was the you-can-be-sure-if-its-Westinghouse affiliate. It was on from eleven to midnight, I used to stay up to watch. Was especially good because Steverino played himself down and the guests up. 116.231.78.79 (talk) 08:47, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Propose consolidation with the Steve Allen page.[edit]

The Steve Allen page's section on this show should be shortened to a summary with a link to this page. The section on the Tonight Show is handled that way there. There is also information on the Steve Allen page not found on this page. Rmrwiki (talk) 04:54, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Add information about the Nikolais Dance Company's appearances.[edit]

Neither this page nor the Steve Allen page cover anything about Allen giving Alwin Nikolais the opportunity to explore the use of dance on television. Nikolais introduced highly innovative costumes and overlapping images that pushed the boundaries of what television could do. Rmrwiki (talk) 04:54, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Change the importance[edit]

Allen introduced many things that were either new to television or which he brought to a wide audience for the first time. Why this pioneering show should be considered of "Low importance" is a mystery. Rmrwiki (talk) 04:54, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
