"Competing books" section[edit]

Is it even necessary? Msoul13 (talk) 21:25, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Speculative content[edit]

Sometime in the later 1970s or early 1980s, I browsed through one of these almanacs in the book store. It had a section of speculative future history, with ideas I have not seen anywhere else. One group of predictions had Earth cities lifting off into space using a device called a "spindizzy", with New York, the largest, being the last to lift off.

Does anyone reading this recall having collections of these annuals and if such speculations changed from year to year? GBC (talk) 21:49, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
