The article asserts that Chinese Opera performers are always male. I have not be able to confirm this. Might there be confusion with Japanese Kabuki, which has some similarities to Chinese Opera, and is only performed by males. --130.207.62.67 (talk) 22:27, 10 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
There are many different kinds of Chinese opera, and I'm only familiar with Peking opera and Yue opera; traditionally those were indeed performed only by men, although nowadays women can perform as well. But this point can just be removed from the article, as it's not made explicit in the movie, it's an assumption a Wikipedia editor has made (all that's made explicit in the film is that the characters are making a list of very high demands that they hope no one can fulfill). rʨanaɢ (talk) 00:14, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
In some places, the name of the protagonist is spelled Wei-Tong, and in others, it's spelled Wai-Tung. I understand that there are multiple ways to spell Chinese names in English, but the same article should not spell the same name in different ways. Does anyone mind if I fix this? The subtitles say "Wai-Tung" while in Pinyin it would be Weitong. I would use "Wai-Tung" WhisperToMe (talk) 19:12, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
