The text of the page Master of the Senate: The Years of Lyndon Johnson has now been largely duplicated into this page, The Years of Lyndon Johnson, and it would make more sense to have one, comprehensive article on the series standing alone. Also there is no equivalent to this page for the other books in the series. Suggest merging. ¶ 11:02, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

It says here "In addition Caro argued that Johnson had falsified reports of winning a medal during his world war two naval service" what medal?, I have no way of knowing whether Caro said this and find it controversial. The editor seems to be confusing a controversy that surrounded Johnson all his life, about whether he was awarded the Silver Star with legitimacy. I have no opinion on the subject as I wasn't there at the action for which he was awarded it, But as it states on the page about Lyndon Johnson, though accounts vary on what actually happened, he was awarded the Silver Star by General Douglas MacArthur (indeed I have seen pictures of MacArthur pinning it on Johnson). Of course I could be wrong and Caro may have argued that Johnson falsified reports regarding another medal, or could have been reffering to the controversy itself which the editor misquoted. regardless, its controversial and needs a citation.Colin 8 23:38, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
