Orphaned references in Theban-Spartan War[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Theban-Spartan War's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "polyaenus":

  • From Sacred Band of Thebes: Polyaenus (trans. R. Shepherd, 1793). "Book II". Στρατηγήματα. {{cite book}}: Unknown parameter |trans_title= ignored (|trans-title= suggested) (help)CS1 maint: numeric names: authors list (link)
  • From Phoebidas: Polyaenus (trans. R. Shepherd, 1793). Στρατηγήματα. Vol. Book 2. {{cite book}}: Unknown parameter |trans_title= ignored (|trans-title= suggested) (help)CS1 maint: numeric names: authors list (link)

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 04:45, 28 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate?[edit]

How exactly is this different to the Boeotian War (379-71)? "Theban–Spartan War" seems deeply anachronistic, especially if the "war" is traced all the way to 362 as it is here. Really it was a compound of several different ones. 192.76.8.13 (talk) 15:13, 10 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
