Thengal-Kachari → Thengal people – Thengal people is standard form e.g. Dimasa people for Dimasa-kachari KPAhmed (talk) 18:00, 16 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose: A number of groups in Assam are customarily named in the form "Type-Kachari". They are Sarania Kachari, Thengal-Kachari, Sonowal Kachari etc. Though others, such as Boro-Kachari and Dimasa-Kachari etc. are now referred to as Boro and Dimasa, these groups are still referred to in this way. Here is the official use of the name [1]. This move is opposed per WP:NEO. Nevertheless, Thengal-Kachari → Thengal Kachari people will be appropriate.
