Discussion[edit]

Wee question - "Byzantine Catholic" in the introductory paragraph - should that read "Greek Catholic" instead? InfernoXV 20:15, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, you are correct. There are several items here I still need to clean up. Majoreditor 20:35, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'll restore the infobox; does anyone have an image to add to it? Majoreditor 20:01, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

why Belarus?[edit]

Why is Belarus relevant?--134.153.14.13 (talk) 12:54, 31 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Recent copyedit[edit]

I believe that it's superfluous to keep listing the names of settlements / regions / countries by both their name at the time and their present-day name in the body text. If someone is not interested in the history, they will only be confused by this; if they are, they can follow any of the links and find more than enough information to clarify everything. Instead, I'm using the names as they were official at the time, with the present-day name in brackets, for settlements only. I find this a better read and more in line with Wikipedia policy as I remember it.

I also moved and attempted to add some NPOV to a statement that I found out of place in the "Early life" section. It's kind of awkward still, but maybe better placed where it is now.

Do feel free to edit it all mercilessly to bits. :) KissL 12:34, 7 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
