Production end[edit]

According to this, the production of the series ended in 1998, not in 2001. Which information is true? I used the 1998 date on the Finnish Wikipedia because it has a source.--Parantaja asiantuntija (talk) 14:58, 8 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if our article is right, but I know that book is not a reliable source. "Books LLC" is a republisher of Wikipedia articles. Their books are nothing more than collections of articles from Wikipedia.
Here is the beginning of the text of the book:

Theodore Tugboat is a Canadian children's television series about a tugboat named Theodore who lives in the Big Harbour with all of his friends. The show was produced (and is set) in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada by the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation), and the now defunct Cochran Entertainment...

Here is the beginning of this very article:

Theodore Tugboat is a Canadian children's television series about a tugboat named Theodore who lives in the Big Harbour with all of his friends. The show originated (and is set) in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada as a co-production between the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation),[1] and the now defunct Cochran Entertainment...

This publisher cannot be used as a source for Wikipedia. Doing so would merely assume that the info in this article was correct at whatever random point in the past that book was assembled and lock it in. - SummerPhDv2.0 16:07, 8 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Ok and thank You. I removed the text from the source and will search for a better one.--Parantaja asiantuntija (talk) 16:52, 8 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
In old versions of this article, the 1998 end date is shown. The ″book″ is therefore a remain from the erroneus version of this page.--Parantaja asiantuntija (talk) 12:08, 9 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Fred Allen[edit]

My uncle Fred Allen's hometown was Wolfville, not Stewiacke. But he lived with his wife Charlotte in Stewiacke for decades and hadn't lived in Halifax since at least the 70s. Both Uncle Fred and Aunt Charlotte are dead now. Tim Jaques, Campbellton NB
