Ph.D. to Doctor of Design[edit]

The Phoenix mag article quotes her attorney as saying she had a Ph.D. from Harvard, but Harvard does not give Ph.D.s in design. I looked her up on the Harvard Alumni Directory and she's listed as Doctor of Design there. I also got the middle name of "Ann" from there which doesn't match any of the obits for 2012 I see. I think the line should be removed until it is sourced. -- Michael Scott Cuthbert (talk) 13:02, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I contacted the publisher of one of her books, who informed me that Cameron passed in May of 2012 in Portland, Oregon. I found a legal notice for claims to her estate dated September of 2012 in the Portland Tribune. As for an obituary, I don't think there was one. If you think about it, she was in foster care without any siblings and never knew her birth mother or father, so a traditional obituary that mentions surviving family members wouldn't have applied to her.
