Hadron overhaul[edit]

Please give input at Talk:Hadron#Hadron overhaul. Thanks. Headbomb {ταλκκοντριβς – WP Physics} 02:00, 24 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Name[edit]

Is this name used anywhere outside Wikipedia, or even anywhere outside this article and the particle template? In T meson it is called toponium, which would follow the usual naming scheme, and toponium redirects to quarkonium instead of this article. Searching for toponium easily finds references in the literature. I suggest moving this to Toponium. Ping at User:Dukwon who recently shifted this entry in the template. --mfb (talk) 13:34, 19 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The PDG naming scheme for hadrons assigns the names , , and to toponium states, following the same convention as charmonium and bottomonium. Dukwon (talk) 14:45, 19 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thanks for improving the article. I had a look at the existing states in the template. Is there a reason we have J/Psi in it, but none of the other charmonium states? Same question for the other quarkonia. --mfb (talk) 15:49, 19 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The pion and the upsilon are mentionned. We basically mention the lowest states of quarkonia. Headbomb {talk / contribs / physics / books} 20:02, 19 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
J/Psi is not the lowest energy charmonium state. The Upsilon is not the lowest energy bottomium state. They are just the easiest states to observe as they have spin 1 and a large branching fraction to leptons. --mfb (talk) 22:34, 19 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Brain fart there, I meant JPC = 0−+ and JPC = 1−− mesons. The flavoured etas are covered in the eta page (which I never liked), personally. Headbomb {talk / contribs / physics / books} 00:47, 20 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Mmmm apparently the flavour etas aren't covered anywhere. I could have sworn they were in the eta/eta prime page. Headbomb {talk / contribs / physics / books} 00:50, 20 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
