This article on Thomas Francis McNulty is noteworthy as it relates to the Wikipedia article titled The Old Grey Mare, since that Wikipedia article reports the unverified speculations of several historical authors as to the possible origins of the song The Old Grey Mare and/or its composer. The archived Time Magazine article cited in Thomas Francis McNulty provides the only known, actual, historical evidence as to who composed the song. The archived article contemporaneously attributes the song to McNulty with significant factual background, which is itself of historical interest. It seems to me that it is better to provide the only known single source of historical evidence on the question of the songs origins in a Wikipedia article Thomas Francis McNulty, which is linked to The Old Grey Mare, than to have that related Wikipedia article instead reporting unchallenged the base musings and speculations of others as to the question of the titled songs authorship or origin. Does someone disagree? If so, I would like to invite your arguments on this page.
