Durham probate records show his date of death as 14/07/1923 at Marton Grove. Probate was granted on 14/09/1923. His estate was £29,140.Measuring worth web site puts this as between £1.3 (rpi) & £4.9 million (average earnings) so quite a prosperous chap.http://www.measuringworth.com/ppoweruk/result.php?use[]=CPI&use[]=NOMINALEARN&year_early=1923&pound71=29140&shilling71=&pence71=&amount=29140&year_source=1923&year_result=2011. Nephew of John Marley[edit]
