I would oppose the deletion rationale. The type of game is well known: [1] it is called the "standard animal game" foe which "every family had different rules". I have also found it is called "cat in the window" in a couple of places. It seems clear enough that the game is widespread under local rules and various names. While the game may be widespread, this article is written in a style incompatible with Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not an instruction manual. Ryan Vesey (talk) 10:41, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
But you can't define a game without giving rules! It really isn't the same as a "how to". Charles Matthews (talk) 15:15, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It is the same as a "how to" because all it does is give a brief description and a "how to." The source you brought up here is a blog, and the article gives no semblance of notability due to appearances in popular culture or anything. The games "Bloody Mary" and "Ghost in the Graveyard" do not have articles. If anything, I would propose a merge to Car game. Ryan Vesey (talk) 04:22, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
A merge to car game under a heading like "counting animals" is a more reasonable solution. This is obviously an old article, and I'm not going to argue that nothing has changed over 8 years. Charles Matthews (talk) 07:51, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
