Did you know... that when the British Army attacked the Agra Fort in 1803, a cannon ball fired by the artillery struck the Takht-i-Jahangir (throne of Jahangir), but only caused a superficial crack on one side?

Untitled[edit]

Warren Hastings had left India by 1803 - the general who took Agra (and Delhi) was Gerard Lake. I have also altered the expression 'British Army" to "Army of the British East India Company" a separate military force.
