Timeline of KaliningradTimeline of Königsberg – Since this article is about the timeline of Kaliningrad, it should be renamed to Timeline of Königsberg because for most of its history it was known as Königsberg, most of the sources also call it Königsberg. I do not have a strong opinion, but I see that we have Timeline of Istanbul and do not have Timeline of Constantinople even though the same arguments would apply. Ymblanter (talk) 18:02, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There is no "History of Königsberg" Article like the History of Istanbul article, even then, they have some consensus that before the cities renaming to Istanbul it should be called Constantinople. Crainsaw (talk) 16:17, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I do not have any problems with the notion that the city must be called Königsberg before it was renamed Kaliningrad. I just do not see why the article must be moved. Ymblanter (talk) 18:24, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose - I haven't investigated deeply, but the few Timeline of (city) articles I've seen all use the current name of the city in the title, regardless of how long it was known by its former name, e.g. Timeline of Yangon, Timeline of Gdańsk, Timeline of Odesa. It is counterintuitive to use the former name in the title unless the timeline ends when the modern name was introduced. --Ekaterina Colclough (talk) 13:41, 30 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
