Merger[edit]

Is is really necessary for there to be so many separate articles - one for each year - on events in sociology - when many years had barely one event of note? Can't these be merged into a large article? Wouldn't that make more sense from the perspective of a "chronological sociologist"? Roberdin 23:55, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am currently in the process of adding to these articles to try and make them a complete timeline. If afterwards you wish to combine i have no objection, however, i didnt originally create this format, I am just attempting to expand it to make it useful to a user.--Hammard 00:31, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have finished my expansion of these articles. I have no objection to combining them personally. However, it may be recommendable to turn years into decades or combine them together for some years and not others as some years are very large, especially those during the 50's and 60's. --Hammard 01:32, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I definitely think they should be at least merged into decades. You could probably do even more than that with much of the 19th century. I will begin merging them into progressively bigger articles. JenLouise 07:33, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've begun the process of merging them into decades. --ShakataGaNai (talk) 00:30, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
