Talk:Timeline of the 2005 French riots

This is not a related incident, this killing took place before the riots even started. I removed from the main article yesterday, and provided links to French media sources that indicate that this was a seperate incident that happened in a seperate location before the riots started. I see that somehow that section of the discussions page (titles "Is this really relevant") has disapeared, and the timeline is now a seperate page and this non-related (albeit tragic) incident is once again associated with it. I'm removing Jean-Claude's killing from this article, it doesn't belong here, why not list every crime that happened during the day before the riots started and claim its related?

Sorry, the discussion got moved to one of the archieves, and its here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:2005_French_civil_unrest/Archive_3#Is_this_really_related.3F

Nothing has been added, since i posted that news link, that confirms that this incident is directly related to the rioting, so i think it shouldn't be there at all.

My thanks. I had noticed the inconsitencies in death reports, but was unable to confirm. --Kizor 17:55, 8 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • If it was one of the main events of the civil unrest, then why did it take place before the civil unrest started?
  • Once again, was mentioned by the Prime Minister. Here is the verbatim [1].Permettez-moi, Patrick POIVRE d’ARVOR, d’abord de dire que les violences auxquelles on a assisté ces derniers jours, sont inacceptables, qu’il s’agisse de deux hommes frappés à mort à Stains, à Epinay, qu’il s’agisse d’une femme handicapée, brûlée, qu’il s’agisse de la multiplication d’actes de destruction d’écoles,... There are two things, the reality of things and the perception people have of them. People feel the events are associated, even if it not true, even more after the Prime Minister has associated them in his speech. I think it should me mentioned, even with a mention like "although the event is indeed unrelated" for instance.Hektor 03:55, 9 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • Prime Ministers can be wrong, indeed, they often are. Mention somewhere else that he said that by all means, but it doesn't belong in the Timeline.

Plagiarisme[edit]

It seems there is much more plagiarism on this page (copying whole sentences). Can someone with time verify it?Ejabberd 20:59, 9 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page[edit]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:
