Material from Toei 12-000 and 12-600 series was split to other pages. The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter pages, and it must not be deleted so long as the latter pages exist. Please leave this template in place to link the article histories and preserve this attribution.

support move to "Toei 12-000 and 12-600 series" as proposed. Nyamo Kurosawa (talk) 15:43, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I think you'd be better off just using "Toei 12 series" without any suffixes. Edgar Searle (talk) 05:05, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Did some internet searches; the name "Toei 12 series" doesn't seem to be used widely (for "東京都交通局12形" Google finds one exact match; "都営12形" only turns up a handful of matches - most of which are not reliable sources), so no, I don't think "Toei 12 series" would be appropriate as a title. Nyamo Kurosawa (talk) 22:03, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Actually you're right; that was only my self-proposal, which is in fact original research. Well in the event of sets 12-54x – 12-59x coming into existence, that would indeed change their name entirely. Edgar Searle (talk) 04:38, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Split Proposal: 12-000 series and 12-600 series[edit]
The articles are separate on ja-wiki. More Importantly, the 12-600 sets introduced in 2012 are a significant upgrade (internally and externally) compared to the 53 older 12-000 trainsets. Some source work still needs to be done but in short, it would be misleading to identify the 12-600 series sets as a subseries of the 12-000 series. Exp691 (talk) 22:49, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
support per nom: As i'm generally not a big fan of doing stuff a certain way solely because Japanese wikipedia does it that way, this proposal is reasonable. While i haven't checked the sources, i trust the nominator with their assessment. Nyamo Kurosawa (talk) 17:39, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Support Already split on the Japanese wiki and they are pretty different QuarioQuario54321 (talk) 19:37, 16 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
We will split this article; 6 months is more than enough to split this topic. WP:SNOWBALL looks present Exp691 (talk) 19:51, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
