Ok, third time. Anyone know? --AW (talk) 19:09, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The team play in green and the word verdant possibly has something to do with it, Just a thought. Britmax (talk) 21:24, 28 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"1969" in the club's name[edit]

Let's settle it once and for all: the name of the team (and hence the article) is Tokyo Verdy. The name of the owning corporation, which remains the 1969 part, has nothing to do with it. Everywhere – on club's website, on J. League website, on any other Japanese website this club is mentioned simply as Tokyo Verdy.

So please stop moving the article. Thanks. —WiJG? 16:56, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Edition suggestion[edit]

"'Verde' is the plural for Green in the Portuguese language."

"Verde" is Green in Portuguese, the plural form is "Verdes". I'm unsure if it was the real intention because don't know Japanese and Google Translate isn't a good source, even if it translates the website cited as "coined born from 'VERDE', which means 'green' in Portuguese". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.5.164.46 (talk) 17:15, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
