It is not clear to me what "domed consonant" means. The article "domed consonant" redirects here to the article "tongue shape", but here it is not explained what it means "domed". This article uses the word "domed" to describe palato-alveolar consonants such as [ʃ ʒ], perhaps distinguishing them from "flat" ones, the alveolo-palatal consonants such as [ɕ ʑ]. In this case, however, it is not even clear what is meant by "flat". Could anyone who wrote it or anyone else who knows something try to make the discussion clearer, please?
