Untitled[edit]

Tony Alva did not name "Dog Town". The store of the name is mentioned in the end of the Dog Town & Z-Boys movie. IIRC it was Skip Engblom and Jeff Ho. Tp 13:01, 8 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but growing up with the likes of Tony, and Jay Adams, in Dog Town in the 1960's and 70's, and also a frequenter of Skip and Jeff's shop, they did not Name it Dog Town, People from other areas had been calling that area of Santa Monica Dog Town since the mid 1960's. You can dispute this all you want, but I was there, and I lived it with all of they boys.

Dogtown style of skateboarding[edit]

This needs to be clarified. We must not assume everyone reading this page will know what a "Dogtown" skating style is.

timeline[edit]

i just read the article, it's 2010. saying that alva did something "recently" and then using the date of 2006 doesn't fly for an encyclopedia. four years ago isn't "recently". articles need actual dates, not vague timeframes. i'm going to try to fix it but i bet some fool will change it back because that's how wiki seems to work. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.241.143.189 (talk) 14:20, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
