Contributory negligence[edit]

what is described here is not contributory negligence in any other common law jurisdiction in the world. what is described here is referred to everywhere else as comparative negligence, which stands as a direct opposite to contributory negligence. e.g.,in the u.s., contributory negligence is that doctrine which holds that if a plaintiff is in ANY WAY,minimally responsible for his own injury, he is barred entirely from any recovery.(it only remains recognized in 4 states. the other 46 use varying standards of comparative negligence.)Toyokuni3 (talk) 21:57, 19 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
