Non-informative[edit]
The entire article is a comparison between logging and tracing, and you don't get a very good idea of how tracing actually works from reading the article. The two are easily discernible topics and should have their own pages, each with a *brief* remark that they are related. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adam.conkey (talk • contribs) 12:53, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
Missing[edit]
I think this article should mention tracing JIT (just-in-time) compilers in some way. --Eboyjr (talk) 20:39, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
Split event logging section to a separate article[edit]
I feel event logging does not really fall in the scope of tracing and should definitely have a separate article. The topic itself should be notable enough. Many related review / survey papers can be found. 94rain Talk 20:37, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
- Support a split, event logging appears to be notable on it's own. Sohom (talk) 07:20, 9 February 2024 (UTC)
