The rolling stock[edit]

What happened to[edit]

Potential use of barrier vehicle[edit]

Transition era AAR knuckle coupler. The gap in the knuckle can accommodate the link of a chain of a Buffers and chain coupler and the pin would be an extra, but this was probably never done anywhere.

A barrier vehicle equipped with buffers and a transition Janney coupler as a dual coupler could be useful to haul the two married pairs of DB Class 628.1 of the Charlevoix tourist train. Peter Horn User talk 00:56, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Charlevoix tourist trainTrain de Charlevoix – "Charlevoix tourist train" is a description of the service and not its actual name. All current branding uses the name "Train de Charlevoix" in English and French. Looking at old records, the service is sometimes described in passing as "the Charlevoix tourist train" but that doesn't equate to the name of the service. It's also described as either a tourist or ski train, with the location given as either Charlevoix or Le Massif, in various permutations of English and French. None of the sources currently used in the article state that the name of the service is "Charlevoix tourist train." I think the best recent source is the press release and associated material about VIA Rail's partnership with the company, which clearly refers to "Train de Charlevoix" in English.
