"Theosophy"[edit]

I question the translation of hikmat as theosophy. This seems to have little to do with the latter. Why not philosophy? --192.75.48.150 (talk) 21:15, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The word "hikmat" comes is an Arabic word which means "wisdom"... Hanymal (talk) 21:35, 29 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"Existentialism"[edit]

I question the identification of this with existentialism. This seems to have little to do with the latter. It shares the key phrase, though it means something entirely different, and I see someone has added a short note to that effect. I wonder if this is an artefact of translation again. --192.75.48.150 (talk) 21:20, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Activity[edit]

The article asserts this is "one of two main disciplines of Islamic philosophy that is currently live and active". I can't help but notice the article only discusses one person's ideas from 400 years ago. --192.75.48.150 (talk) 21:20, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
