I propose that Trempealeau,_Wisconsin be merged into Trempealeau_(town),_Wisconsin. I think that the content in the Village article can easily be explained in the context of the Town article, and the Town article is of a reasonable size in which the merging of the Village will not cause any problems as far as article size or undue weight is concerned. Opposed the village and town of Trempealeau are 2 separate municipalities. We have been through this before with other merger proposals. Please read Political subdivisions of Wisconsin. Thank you-RFD (talk) 14:56, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'll withdraw the proposal because the above user has explained things to me. I do think that it needs to be made clear why these are distinct areas as it really isn't clear. Which probably explains why there have been multiple merge proposals for places in Wisconsin etc. We do not all live there & cannot appreciate the subtleties. Hit me with a brick and I'll understand. - Sitush (talk) 15:26, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe something like "X is a town and municipality in Y ... Z is a separate municipality inside X." Something like that? - Sitush (talk) 15:28, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
