" I'd reword this to "During mid-June, the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) made its annual migration northward into the southern Gulf of Mexico" or sometihng like that as something does not feel right in this sentence, idk why tbh. Well-written:

(a) the prose is clear, concise, and understandable to an appropriately broad audience; spelling and grammar are correct; and

Verifiable with no original research:

(a) it contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline;
