pronunciation[edit]

The IPA for this has the vowel as ɔː, as in law, but the respelling had it as ɒ, as in lot. Which is correct? kwami (talk) 01:19, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The second one is correct. Trottiscliffe is pronounced as Troz-ly, not Trot-tiss-cliff. Mjroots (talk) 12:16, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

actually Trosley Country Park used to be signposted "Trottiscliffe Country Park" on direction signs in the surrounding area but this was changed to the current "Trosley" to attract visitors which had difficulty finding it under the old spelling.(personal observation; remember the change in the 70's or early 80's? 24.207.122.31 (talk) 04:41, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
