sources from 1800s varied design[edit]

A number of the English sources seem to indicate a few other details not presented in the article, such as the troughs having the common name as Voltaic Troughs. It seems from some of the sources of the era that a lot of credit was given to the entire line of inquiry related plates of metal of two different types and a "imperfect conductor" as liquid. The separation within troughs were simply seen as a convenience of the implementation of the voltaic principle. The issue is formulating the summary between these resources that do not word it so simply in modern electrical terms. Which may result in citations being "original research". Perhaps a hint for anyone interested in the subject to investigated the writings of the early 1800s for their take of electrical phenomenon. I find them quite useful and came to this page to see how wikipedia is representing the concepts. The current article is very incomplete with the available information found in these older works.198.217.124.59 (talk) 23:21, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
