Does this airport exist?[edit]

I simply cannot find any information on this airport except for the GCM and WAD listings, which provide no info except its name and airport codes. I even looked at the supposed coordinates in GoogleMaps Satellite view, and around the greater Djelfa area, and I didn't see an airport anywhere. There's a patch that could be a dirt runway, but there's nothing else (certainly no buildings) in the general vicinity, and it could just as easily be someone's favorite off-roading track. The coordinates in the article show a long but not wide rectangular area in the sand, more than enough to serve for a runway. OTOH the local AIP http://www.sia-enna.dz/ has no mention that I could find, so your doubts might well be justified. Probably it was an active a/d but now abandoned? On second thought, the present article mentions service by Air Algerie but on that airline's destinations page there is no mention of Tsletsi. More work waiting. Jan olieslagers (talk) 19:04, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Looked in the history, and apparently back in 2010 it was edited from Madina Airlines to Air Algerie. That might be accurate for all I know, but it'd be something to look into. - Jorgath (talk) 20:07, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Have you check this out? The airport appears there.--Jetstreamer (talk) 21:18, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that's how it came to my attention in the first place. I've been going through the list the last few days looking to add infoboxes and AIP links, and this one had neither, but I couldn't find enough info for an infobox. - Jorgath (talk) 21:29, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Addendum: Just because it's on the list doesn't mean it exists, it means that if it doesn't, it was included (in good faith) in the list after this article was created. - Jorgath (talk) 21:33, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I re-read the notability guide at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Airports/Notability, and it says that the ICAO or IATA code confers verifiability upon the airport, regardless of its notability. - Jorgath (talk) 20:41, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
