Notability?[edit]

Tunnel Camp, Nevada is possibly not notable. It does not appear in Nevada Place Names," by Carlson. It does not appear in "Nevada Post Offices," by Gamett and Paher. It does not appear in "Reconnaissance of mining districts in Pershing County," by Vanderburg. It does not appear in "Mining districts and mineral resources of Nevada," by Church. In newspapers.com, there is a trivial reference in a Mazuma article and a passing reference in an obit. However, there is a pretty good history at nvexpeditions.com and there is a 2019 article in the nevadaappeal. So, a bit more research is in order. Cxbrx (talk) 22:04, 18 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I poked around a bit more and it there are some articles about this location, and it is a bit interesting, but the 2019 article in the nevadaappeal says "According to several historians, Tunnel Camp never became a true town but was always more of a “well-equipped” company camp." So, I'm going to mark this page as non-notable. The contents could be moved in to Mazuma about a mile to the north or Vernon, which is 2 miles to the south. I redirected to Vernon, Nevada because the buildings in Vernon were moved to Tunnel Camp. Cxbrx (talk) 15:33, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
