Mattel, the current largest shareholder of Sonokong and international distributor of the toyline, is simply branding/marketing/naming both the toys and the show as "Mecard", so I decided to follow that. However, it shall be referred as Turning Mecard when talking about the non-Studiopolis English dub (presumably made before the partnership with Mattel) aired on the channels like Teletoon in Canada. --JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 01:31, 30 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Mattel has released the show and toyline as Turning Mecard in Australia, Canada, Latin America and South East Asia. It appears to "only" be the US and maybe the UK that dropped the "Turning" in the title. Given Turning Mecard is the original name and is still used in English speaking international markets, I don't think you should've moved the page.Damnedfan1234 (talk) 06:59, 30 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Damnedfan1234: Really? Now what do I do?
By the way, do you have any reliable source that confirms what company made that particular English dub? JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 12:50, 30 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I'd suggest reverting the move and mentioning that the franchise is also simply known as Mecard in select markets.
As for my source on the studio behind the dub, it's admittedly original research. I contacted a voice actor involved with the first Turning Mecard dub who told me it was done at BTI Studios in Hong Kong (formerly known as Medi-Lan Limited). I've got no reason to believe that's wrong (it was definitely recorded in Hong Kong), but feel free to remove it if you feel it shouldn't be there. Okay. But since I redirected Turning Mecard to a new article about the toyline titled Mecard (toyline), I'll have to make a technical move request. JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 16:15, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, one of the Hong Kong voice artists listed their roles and confirmed BTI Studios Hong Kong recorded the dub. I'm not familiar with the list you made for the voice actors, so I haven't added it in myself. Damnedfan1234 (talk) 10:07, 13 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This isn't Western animation either[edit]

Instead of placing eastern shows into Anime-influenced Western Animation, you should try to make an Anime-influenced Eastern Animation category instead. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:E000:2500:F000:5457:26D1:64E0:9E23 (talk) 03:51, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
